Bangladesh women team defeated the Indian side in a thriller in the ongoing women event. The game was an absolute nail biter and went to the last ball of the match. Indian team had their chances in the match as well as in the final over as well but the Bangaldeshi team did not lt their hopes die. The courage in the late middle order of the Bangladesh team was the catalyst which took the game in their favor on the final ball of the match. Rumana made 22 runs at the end and his runs were the turning point in the game. She could not finish the game as she got run out in the final over courtesy to some really laziness shown on her part. At that point when Rumana being the set batsman got out the match again swung in the favor of the Indian team.

The batting and bowling from both sides were really good. It was a tough contest and eventually it was the Bangladesh team who defeated the Indians. The Indian team though was the favorite to win the game but they could not thanks to some heroics from the Bangla women. Sanjida first took a single on the first ball hitting it towards the long on. Rumana came to the strike and hit the second ball for a boundary. It was a brilliant shot from her. She gave herself some room and smacked the ball towards the covers. The ball hit the middle of the bat and raced away to the fence for a four. The fielder put in a desperate dive but could not save the boundary. After this a couple of singles were taken and while in one of those the set batter Rumana got run out.

The final over was bowler by the experienced Harmanpreet Kaur. She already had taken two wickets as well and she had to defend nine runs in this final over. There was every chance that the Indian bowling and fielding will easily defend this total but they could not. Kaur was bowling well but the determination level of the Bangladesh team was the main thing that could be seen in that over. Despite losing their main batter Rumana the others did not lose their focus. On the last ball there were two runs required to win the match. The ball was hit in the deep on the leg side. The fielder was present there but the Bangladeshi women scampered for a couple. The throw was a poor one from the fielder and could not reach the wicket keeper in time and as a result the two runs needed were completed and Bangladesh won the match.
