A lot of good performances and good gestures from the players and umpires have been witnessed so far in the Quaid E Azam trophy 2018. The most prestigious domestic event in Pakistan has started and some big names are once again part of this event. Even the likes of Misbah Ul Haq who initially was not ready to take part in the event in back in the SNGPL side. Some major grounds in Pakistan are hosting this event. At Rawalpindi currently two teams are battling out against each other in a match. Now an interesting thing happened during the play. A local mosque called for prayers and the umpires had to halt the game in respect to the azan. Now this is something which can only happen in the Muslim countries. Religion plays a very important role in the lives of Muslims. This is once again witnessed here from the umpires who asked the players to just stop the game for a few minutes so that the call for prayers or the azan ends.

As per the news this was the evening session when the players were taking part in the game. As the call for the prayers started one of the umpires called the other one and after they did some discussion the batsmen and the captain of the bowling side was asked to halt the game for a couple of minutes. The call for the prayers or the Azan does not take much time. The players being Muslims had absolutely no issue is halting the game for a few minutes. The players took rest. Everyone just sat down on the ground and after the Azan was finished the play continued. Now this is something which has not happened for the first time. In the past we have seen the umpires halting the game in respect to the Azan. In fact this very incident happened in the game of football a couple of months ago.

The most interesting part in that incident was that a Christian referee was officiating that football match. He heard the call for prayers as the game was going on he immediately blew his whistle and asked the players to just halt the game for a few minutes. The Muslim players immediately got the idea why the game was halted. Now that news broke like a wild fire and Muslims all across the globe appreciated this nice gesture from the umpire. He in an interview said that he respects every religion and hence when he heard the Azan he felt it as a moral duty to pay respect to the call and halt the game for a few minutes. Now this is the kind of love and harmony that we desperately need in this world. Everyone should be given full respect and freedom to practice his or her religion. This is also the basic teachings of every religion. We all want to live in peace and harmony.
