کرکٹ کی141سالہ تاریخ کا سب سے عجیب رن آؤٹ!اظہر علی نے چوکا لگایا گیند باؤنڈری سے باہر نہ گئی اور رن آؤٹ ہو گئے

Azhar Ali in his wildest dreams would have not thought about the way he got out against Australia today. Australia were alert and on the other hand Azhar Ali was as clumsy as one can be. Azhar Ali is one of those Pakistani batsmen who are relatively very good and they know about their game and also have a good knowledge of the game as well. Here things did not go according to the plan. Azhar thought the ball would surely hit the boundary and hence he did not bother much about completing the run. Even his partner Asad Shafiq was standing in the middle with him and had they have crossed then surely it would have been Asad gotten run out here. Only Azhar Ali can tell what he was thinking here. The ball was edged towards the deep third man and as the edge came against the pace of Peter Siddle so Azhar was certain that the ball would hit the fence. Now we have seen in this match that ball does sometime holds up before reaching the ropes.

The ball was pitched outside the off stump and Azhar Ali carved it towards the off side. Now it seems Azhar wanted to hit this ball squarer on the off side. It was a length ball and hence he was looking to hit the ball in the gap. He was on 64 runs so Azhar was well settled at the crease. Now here Azhar failed to middle the ball properly. The ball started running towards the fence at deep third man. Now Azhar Ali edged this one and he thought as most of the batsmen think in such situations that the ball would go and hit the boundary. In this game a lot of edges and shots like these went to the fence. Here this did not happen. The ball stopped a couple of feet from the boundary line. Now when this was happening at the boundary line Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq were having a chat standing right in the middle of the pitch.

Starc picked up the ball and threw t to Tim Paine the Australian wicket keeper and captain. Now credit goes to Tim Paine as well. He did not shout or make a single motion which could have alarmed the Pakistani batters. Both Azhar and Asad were busy in their discussion. The ball came in and Tim Paine dislodged the bails. There it was the Australians celebrating the wicket and on the other hand there was Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq looking at the umpire wondering what the Australians were celebrating. The third umpire was called into the action and soon after a few replays shown it was pretty much evident that Azhar Ali was out here. This is one of the bizarre run outs that we have seen in the history of the game for sure. Azhar Ali was caught napping in the middle for sure. He should have been more alert.
