Pakistani all-rounder Sohail Tanvir is definitely getting penalized in a day or two. The gesture he pointed out towards Australian batsman Ben Cutting after taking his wicket in last night’s Caribbean Premier League game will now haunt Sohail for some time. ICC will take action as well. The finger gesture which Sohail showed to the batsman and lucky for him that by that time Cutting turned over and did not see it would have gone ballistic against Sohail. This finger gesture has been considered as very much offensive towards anyone throughout the whole world. Over social media even the Pakistani fans are very much upset and they are grilling Sohail for his action. Every bowler celebrates a wicket but this is something not ethical at all. There is a thing called sportsman spirit and Sohail was lacking it big time in this very moment.

Ben Cutting hit Sohail first for a huge six. Cutting as we all know can hit the ball hard and long and this was a ball which would have been hit by any batsman for a boundary. The field was inside the ring. It was the start of the game and Cutting really middle this one to perfection. The ball hit the sweet spot of his big bat and went a long way for a six. Now Sohail surely did not like this shot at all. He did not speak any word after being dispatched for a six. He just returned to his bowling mark. Now on the next ball Sohail did took his revenge. This was a beauty from the Pakistani all-rounder. A perfect yorker on the leg stump, straight and directed right towards the stumps. But at the same time Cutting played this one wrong. He was moving towards the off side trying to steer the ball on the leg side and find another boundary which might had come if he had touched the ball. He did not and the ball went in between his legs and knocked out the leg stump.

The moment Sohail saw the leg stump uprooted he was happy and pumped up. In that mixed emotions he showed the batsman his fingers. But Cutting by that time had his back towards Sohail and hence he could not see the gesture at all. Now Sohail might face a ban and a fee penalty. There is a strong chance that he might also be kicked out from the team for this season. Anything can happen and whatever penalty Sohail will face will certainly justify because his actions were too abusive and you don’t expect such things from a sports person. Sports bring people together and such actions only create more hatred and this is something which cricket or any other sports cannot afford. This is not the right move from Sohail and so far he has been grilled by almost all the cricket fans and experts around the globe. The Australians in particular.
