Srilankan head coach search has come down to five names and soon one will be finalized for the job. All applicants are from overseas.
CEO of the Srilankan cricket, De Silva said that 5 applicants have sent in their resumes for the permanent post of Srilankan head coach. The names will not be disclosed as all the applicants have made requests not to take their names.
All five applications will be discussed and the applicants will be evaluated in the next interim committee meeting on October 20.
The name will be finalized soon as per De Silva. A two year contract will be given to the selected applicant and after one year it will be reviewed as well.
Jerome Jayaratne is currently monitoring the team as an interim head coach. He was asked to perform the duties four days after Marvan Atapattu left the job.
In January, SLC elections will be conducted and a new setup will take over the controls but DE Silva assured that it will not effect the decisions made prior to the elections.
