Sri Lanka kick off a busy season with a mini-tour to Zimbabwe that would comprise of a short Test series and then a tri-series against the homeside and West Indies in the 50-over format.
Zimbabwe have not had the most memorable of histories against the Lankan lions. The men in orange are yet to win a bilateral Test series against Sri Lanka, both home and away. The last time the two sides met was when Sri Lanka toured Zimbabwe in 2004. The visitors won that two-match series with an impressive 2-0 margin.
Zimbabwe’s most recent showing in the longest version of the game was when New Zealand toured them in August. The Black Caps hammered the homeside by 254 runs in the opening game and then by 117 runs in the 2nd and final game at Bulawayo. 10th place Zimbabwe will be looking to find some form as they look to prevent their status as a Test nation, when they take on a strong Sri Lankan side.[table id=2 /]
