Australia’s brand new season has kicked off has already experienced more ups and downs than first anticipated. In Sri Lanka, they got hammered 3-0 in the Test series, but responded well, winning the 5-match ODI series with a handsome 4-1 scoreline. However, their performance in the 50-over format in the recently concluded South Africa series was woeful to say the least. Despite their batsmen firing in almost all the games, the Aussie bowling attack got hammered all over the park in each of the 5 encounters.
For New Zealand, the short home Test series with Pakistan will be followed by 3 mouth-watering 50 over encounters with their trans-tasman rivals Australia. When these two teams play, their recent forms dont matter, because the contests are always going to be too close to miss.
The SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) will host the first game on December 4. Canberra’s Manuka Oval will showcase the 2nd game on December 6, followed by the 3rd and final match at the mighty MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) on December 9.[table id=8 /]
