The West Indies big hitter, Chris Gayle occupies the third spot on this chart. The Jamaican star blasted 238 sixes from 269 matches. He has also jolted down 1038 fours and a strike rate of 85 from 264 innings. Gayle also records a good average of 37.33 in the 50-over format.

The Sri Lankan great Sanath Jayasuriya stands at number two in the list. He smashed 270 sixes from 445 ODIs. Mustering it further, the former Sri Lankan star managed 1500 fours from his 50-over career. He recorded a strike rate of 91 but averages only 32.

The swashbuckling star of Pakistan Shahid Afridi tops the chart. He has hammered the most number of sixes in the 50-over format of the game and is labeled as Boom Boom. He started his career as a bowler but cracked a century on his debut. His century is still the fastest.

Afridi’s aggressive style has let him earn several accolades. Most importantly, he will always be remembered for cracking the most number of sixes. The Pakistani star smashed 351 sixes from 398 outings. He also recorded 730 fours and jolts down a spectacular strike rate of 117. However, Afridi has a poor average of just 24 in the One Day Internationals.
