What is the best sight for a fast bowlers? Perhaps a yorker knocking off middle stump or a fierce delivery breaking the wicket in half. But how often do we get to see a spinner do similar damage? Very rare; and Afghanistan’s young leggie, Rashid Khan is the latest one to do so.
Rashid Khan, playing for Comilla Victorians, during the Bangladesh Premier League 2017 caused some serious damage while playing against Chittagong Vikings. The Victorians sealed a win and added vital points to their points table.
How it happened?
Rashid bowled a fierce google to the in-form batsman Dilshan Munaweera, and knocked his middle stump. The 19-year-old spin sensation not only disturbed the stumps but broke the upper portion of the middle stump. The batter went back after scoring a slow 19 off 25 balls.
The wicket was Khan’s victim in the match, and his figures read 1/17 in 4 overs. You can watch the wicket below, as the cricketer himself tweeted the video after the match.
