Pakistan’s lethal weapon Yasir Shah does it again. He and Zulfiqar Babar gave Pakistan the all-important wickets of Mark Wood and Adil Rashid. The celebrations from both the bowlers were worth watching after taking the wickets.
It was a tense evening in Dubai. The light was fading out, the overs were getting limited yet Rashid and Wood were in no mood to throw away their wickets like the earlier English batsmen. At one stage it appeared as if the match will end up in a draw.
England was eight wickets down and then Zulfiqar and Yasir Struck. First Zulfiqar took Mark Wood and later Yasir took the last wicket of Rashid and gave Pakistan the win they were chasing since the first game played in Abu Dhabi.
Yasir bowled a flighted leg spinner to Rashid and with most of the players standing around the bat; Rashid went for a cover drive. The ball didn’t connect to the middle of the bat and went straight to Babar at covers.
It was an easy one for Babar and the moment he grabbed the ball. Yasir went running on the field and didn’t notice his fellow players and went on to five inside the ground. He remained there as the other players were coming and jumping onto him.
It was an esthetic way to celebrate the last wicket. Yasir Shah was jubilant with his performance. Pakistan won the game with 178 runs. It was surely a dream come true as now Pakistan cannot lose crease.
