Shoaib Akhtar when came to the international cricket he was struggling with fitness issues and over the years till he retired his fitness problems were always there with him. Shoaib despite not being that fit yet was the quickest and this is something which he should be credited for. Shoaib Akhtar came to the Pakistan team back in the late 90s. His first match was a test match against India in India. Now that we all know was a huge game. Pakistan was looking for a win in India after many years and hence the bowling from the Pakistan team was filled with the best bowlers. Indian batting line was a strong one and hence in order to take those out Pakistan have to have the best bowling unit. Shoaib Akhtar was there and in the first game he took those famous two wickets of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Every Pakistani fan still has got the memories of those two wickets. They were the turning point of the match and Pakistan won that game as well. It was a fantastic tour for the Pakistan team and for Shoaib Akhtar as well.
Shoaib Akhtar was a beast in fast bowling. He was tall and with time he gained muscles as well. He used to rattle the oppositions with the ball in his hands. He was fast and he used to mock the batsmen as well. He had the confidence on his bowling and hence he was always coming hard at the batsmen. He did leaked runs as well because of his pace. A lot of times edges from the batsmen used to take the ball towards the boundaries. Behind the wicket keeper the fielders at deep third man and deep fine leg never had the chance to cut the ball from hitting the fence when Shoaib was bowling because the ball used to fly so fast towards the ropes. Shoaib was definitely a delight to watch when he used to play for Pakistan.
