Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s wicket would certainly be among the most prized scalps for any bowler in the world. Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Khaleel Ahmed’s wild celebration after dismissing Virat Kohli during the 54th match of IPL 2019 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Saturday proved exactly the same. The 21 year old was absolutely over the moon after getting Virat Kohli out cheaply in a run chase of 176. It was however RCB who won the game beating the visitors by 4 wickets, on the back of well compiled fifties from Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Singh Mann.
Khaleel bowled it short and wide outside outside the off stump and Kohli wanted to have a piece of it, throwing his bat at it. Kohli went hard at it but could only manage to feed the outside edge of the bat to Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps. Saha made no mistake and grasped it comfortably but Khaleel did not even wait for the catch to be taken. Khaleel, who had been hit for a boundary and a six by Kohli earlier in the over, roared in redemption as Kohli walked back to the pavilion after scoring just 16 off 7 balls as RCB lost their second wicket for just 18 runs.
