Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest One Day International rankings. Mohammad Hafeez is 2nd in the all-rounders ratings.
Pakistan is placed 8 in the team rankings. The biggest surprise in the bowlers department is that of Saeed Ajmal. Despite having not played a significant part in the Pakistan side over the last 1 and a half year, the off-spinner still finds himself in the top 10 bowlers, at 9th place.
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has been rated the number 1 bowler in ODIs, and that is no surprise. The Kangaroos paceman, who is facing an injury crisis at the moment, was outstanding in the whole of 2015.
The latest ICC team rankings also confirm that the super confident Afghanistan side has moved into the top 10, following their memorable 3-2 series triumph over Zimbabwe in the UAE. World Champions Australia stand tall at 1st position. 2011 champions India are second, while South Africa occupy 3rd position. Pakistan’s highest ranked player is all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who is ranked 2nd in the all-rounders rankings.
