MCL, Sangakkara, Sehwag gives Arabians another win

Once again the dynamo duo of Gemini Arabians Virender Sehwag and Kumar Sangakkara fired their cannons against the Capricorn Commanders to set the Sharjah Stadium on fire. Arabians clinched a tight win despite Razzaq’s little cameo at the end.

At this moment in MCL, the Arabians have the best top three batters in their ranks. Levi was unfortunate to get run out, but Sehwag and Sangakkara enjoyed their time in the middle.Sehwag as always stayed for a brief period, but in his 27 balls innings, he smoked 59 runs for the Arabians.

With 3 sixes and 7 fours Sehwag reached another fifty in the MCL for the Arabians. Razzaq finally deceived him with a brilliant slow ball. On the other side of the wicket was Sangakkara, who kept his motion and pace.

Sangakkara was as special as he always has been. Hitting 5 sixes and 3 fours enabled Sangakkara to hit another fifty to his name for the Arabians. Sangakkara and Sehwag took Arabians to 83 in 8.2 overs. Later a 29 runs little cameo from Brad Hodge put Arabians in a commanding position. Arabians finished up at 190 for 4 in their 20 overs.

Commanders went off to a lightning start thanks to Australian Andrew Symonds, who looked fearsome tonight. Symonds hit 30 runs off 14 balls and when he went out the Commanders were 65 in 5.3 overs. It was a perfect start for the Commanders against the Arabians.

Prince did well as the other opener with his 44. Commanders never had anything substantial apart from Symonds, Prince and Razzaq. Once Prince fell to Saqlain there was no one to help Razzaq complete the job. Arabians kept on taking wickets at a crucial time and did not let any batsman take advantage. Once Razzaq was cleaned up by Mills the game was already lost. Arabians won the game by 10 runs at the end.
