The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has exceeded the expectations of cricket lovers not only from the subcontinent, but from all corners of the globe. Pakistan’s first ever Premier T20 bout kicked off in the most dramatic of fashions. Quetta Gladiators entered the tournament as arguably the most underrated team of the 5 franchises, but they stand tall at first position after 3 wins in 4 matches. Peshawar Zalmi have a game in hand, they stand second at 4 points with 2 wins in 3.
The star studded teams of Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings have surprisingly been inconsistent in the first half of the league so far. The kicked their campaigns off with an epic clash against each other, in which the Kings emerged victorious. Karachi couldnt build up from the confidence gained by beating their rivals, losing two in a row following that. The Lahore Qalandars opened their PSL account with 2 disappointing losses on the trot, but came back in magnificent fashion beating league leaders and the then undefeated Team Quetta Gladiators by a stunning margin of 63 runs.
Despite 1 win in their 3 games much like the Kings and the Qalandars, Islamabad United stand rock bottom with the worst net run rate.
