ICC T20 Rankings: SA move to 2nd, Pak to 6th

Dubai: As a result of South Africa’s 2-0 whitewash of England in the 2 match T20 series, the proteas move from 4th to 2nd, while England slip to 7th and allow Pakistan to move up one place to 6th in the ICC T20 Rankings for teams.

According to the latest release of the ICC T20 Team Rankings, 2010 World Champions England slip to 7th as a result of their 2-0 series defeat to AB De Villiers’ South Africa. The vicorious Protean side grab 2nd spot, just behind India who are currently ranked supreme at no.1 thanks to their 3-0 win over Australia and 2-1 drubbing of Sri Lanka.

England convincingly beat South Africa in the Test series after which the homeside came back brilliantly to outlast the Three Lions in both the One Day and T20 series.

2012 ICC World T20 winners West Indies move down one place to 3rd. The Caribbean men are followed by New Zealand at 4th, Sri Lanka at 5th, Pakistan at 6th, England at 7th, Australia at 8th, Afghanistan at 9th and Bangladesh at 10th.
