Eoin Morgan feels break has done the trick

It is almost a month now that the English captain for the limited over cricket hasn’t touched his bat and it was his own choice made after he thought to take a rest before the international games against the touring Australians.

Morgan has never let anything hide under the skin and always has been opened about his thoughts of English cricket. He in the past has said a lot and even now is coursing around the same orbit that players don’t get enough time to react their bodies.

For an English cricket sometimes the county cricket becomes more important rather than playing for the English team. It is never an optional job for him. He is pursued to appear and play all the county matches in available days.

This is why an English player doesn’t get the right number of hours to rest himself and spend some time with his friends and family. I myself have been a victim to this practice and as I speak I reject this practice completely.

Morgan who is not selected as a part of red ball team against Australia was putting his efforts in the county cricket for Middlesex and after a few hectic games he made a decision and went to the county director Angus Fraser.

I met Angus Fraser and told him that I need a break before the white ball matches against the Aussies. I was happy that Angus listened to what I had to say and approved my temporary leave from the county cricket.

There are very few individuals who hold key positions in county cricket like Angus Fraser. He ranks English cricket more than the county cricket and this should be made mandatory for all so that we all can ease ourselves.

Morgan first went for a two weeks break but as the dates rescheduled and a month gap came in he decided to prolong his leaves and now right after a month he will be seen in action against the Australian in the limited over format.

Morgan said that he feel twice the man he was a month ago. He feels he is more fit now and has a raring to go against the opposition inside. Morgan said that the primary focus at the moment is the World T20 and the future of ODI cricket for England.

He ended up saying that we need to give some leisure time to the players before the world cup. They should all play the important series like we will be having against Pakistan and South Africa but before if some off time is given it will surely help the players in their performance.
