Misbah enters club of elites with maiden ton against England

Lahore: Pakistan test captain Misbah Ul Haq gets another induction to a new club of elites. Misbah becomes the second test batsman to have scores maximum number of test hundreds after the age of 40. His fourth came yesterday against England.

Misbah Ul Haq completed his 9th international test ton yesterday against England in Dubai. He also broke the record for the highest number of test tons for any Pakistani test captain.

Misbah now is on number 2 in the list of test batsmen with maximum number of test hundreds scored after the age of 40. England’s former test sensation Sir Jack Hobbs lead the ranks with 9 test hundreds.

Misbah is currently 41 and has scored 4 test centuries since he has celebrated his 40th birthday. This was Misbah’s first test ton against England. Not only this, Misbah has hit 25 international sixes as well after getting 40 years old. The former West Indian captain Clive Lloyd is second to him with only 6 maximum ones.
