Pakistan vs England 2015 schedule

Things are official!

England’s tour of Pakistan 2015 will kick off in October next month, as confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board and the England Cricket Board. The bilateral series will feature hosts Pakistan hosting visitors and tourists England in a full fledged triple format series, which will feature multiple One Dayers, Tests and T20 Internationals.

The much awaited bilateral series will kick of in the UAE in early October. The United Arab Emirates has been the home of Pakistan cricket ever since the security issues in the greenland got too much to allow anymore international cricket. Since the attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009, no international series or tournaments have been hosted in Pakistan, which has obviously been a massive blow for the cricket of the country.

However, like always, the fans will still be looking forward to what promises to be a very entertaining series between England and hosts Pakistan. The series is a part of the FTP (Future Cricket Tour Programs), which is a sub organization of the International Cricket council. In total, 3 Test Matches, 4 One Day Internationals and 3 T20 Internationals are to be played over the October/November period.

Pakistan England form analysis

The last series between the two countries was played in the UAE back in 2012. Pakistan dominated the Test series but lost both the One Day and T20 series. Does that ring a bell? Are Pakistan going to struggle yet again in the One Day format? Their test form has been exquisite over the years, with some incredible performances against the world’s very best, but what must be a big worry for Pakistani fans is their team’s inconsistency and unpredictability in the shorter versions of the game.

England themselves have been in good form in Test cricket, after having regained the Ashes fromt the Aussies only a little time back. They too seemed to struggle in the One Day format, and this stat makes the Pakistan-England bilateral series even more exciting to look forward to.

The head to head records are astonishing and extra ordinary. In each format of the game, the Englishmen have had the upper hand against the Pakistanis so far. The last ODI meeting between the two nations came in Dubai in February 2012. England came out victorious in that one by 4 wickets. The last T20 meeting between the two sides was played in the same month in Abu Dhabi, in which the three lions won a close contest by 5 runs. The last Test series between them was played in the same tour too. Pakistan whitewashed the Englishment in that series with an emphatic 3-0 triumph.

As things stand, nothing concrete and straight forward can be predicted about this so very exciting series. What can be predicted is that all three series are going to be absolute belters!
