Papau New Guinea Tour of Hong Kong Fixtures / Schedule

This might not appear the most mouth-watering of clashes for any normal cricket fan, but a die-hard supporter would surely be intrigued by a contest between these two nations. While Hong Kong have realistically been busier among the two sides, Papa New Guinea can certainly not be taken for granted. Their last limited-overs series was a two-tie contest against Kenya in the ICC World Cricket League Championship. Papau New Guinea won both those matches on May 28 and May 30 respectively.

For Hong Kong, their form has been on and off, despite a faily busy season so far. They travelled to Ireland for a two-match T20 series, which they eventually ended up winning, thanks to a win in the first game and a rain washout in the second. Their two-game One Day International tour of Scotland wasn’t the most memorable one. The first game was called off due to bad light, just when Hong Kong needed 18 runs off the last two overs, with 6 wickets in hand. In the second game, the hosts buried Hong Kong by a margin of 53 runs.

Both Papau New Guinea and Hong Kong will now have a chance to rekindle their ODI forms, as they get set to face off in a three-match ODI series, starting November 4.
