Riaz Afridi grills Moin Khan for his failures

Back in the year 2003 and 2003 and somewhat in the 2004 as well Riaz Afridi was the best fast bowler playing in the domestic cricket of Pakistan. He was fast and he was taking a lot of wickets on dead pitches as well. But he did not play for Pakistan much which is a shame for that matter. Riaz played just one test match and after that he was never seen in the Pakistan cricket team. He did get into some fitness issues in that time frame but he recovered from them and should have been given a chance to play for Pakistan in the two other formats as well. He did not and now his younger brother is playing for Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi. Riaz Afridi is currently a part of the Lahore Qalandars talent hunting camps. He is looking into the cricketing talents coming up from KPK and FATA. Riaz himself is from the same region so for him knowing the terrain and then the people is not a big issue at all.

Riaz Afridi was a consistent performer in the Pakistan domestic cricket but he was never given a chance to play for his country that much. Then Riaz went to ICL. He was part of the Lahore Badshahs in that event. Inzamam Ul Haq was his skipper. Moin Khan was the manager of this side. Lahore won that event and Riaz Afridi bowled well in that event as well. But then again he was not selected for the Pakistan team. He decided to leave his playing days behind and get into a coaching job. He even applied in the Pakistan cricket board and wanted a Grade 1 coaching job for the people in FATA and relative areas. Rashid Latif was present in the Pakistan cricket circles in those days and he asked Afridi not to leave bowling. He asked the pacer to continue his bowling in the domestic cricket. In 2011 and 2012 Riaz was the highest wicket taker in the Pakistan domestic cricket but was ignored once again.

Riaz said that Moin Khan being the manager of the Lahore Badshahs still owns him the money he was promised. In fast not verbally there was a deal but also there was a contract signed as well. Moin Khan did not pay back the dues to many players in that team and back in those years it was a huge news as well. But then with the passage of time people stopped talking about it. But still Moin Khan owns money to players like Riaz and others. As per Riaz every time you ask Moin about those pending dues he will ask you to meet his lawyer. This clearly means that he is not willing to pay back the dues to the players. This is something which is totally wrong and Moin Khan should solve this issue. Moin Khan did not do well with Pakistan cricket. He could have done a lot better.
