Saeed Ajmal bowls a Jaffa to Chris Gayle

Saeed Ajmal might have been axed from the Pakistan team due to his ineffectiveness with his bowling but when he was in form, there was no other ruler in the spin empire then him.

Saeed Ajmal was called the magician. This delivery to Chris Gayle in the 2013 champion’s trophy would let all know why. It was a Dora from the spin king and even the like of Gayle batting at 39 was unable to pick that one up.

It was a magnificent ball from the guru. Ajmal tossed it up and Gayle thought of it as an orthodox off spinner. He went for a big blooming drive on the off side and opened up a huge gap between his legs and bat.

The ball hit the deck came the other way and Gayle was never ready for this variation. The ball penetrated the gap and went onto smash the three stumps.

Gayle was gone for all his money and Ajmal was in celebrations in his typical style. Pakistan lost the match by 2 wickets but both Ajmal and Misbah tried their best to come up as the winners against the West Indies.

Misbah with his bat and Ajmal with the ball put in everything but at the end it was the West Indies who finally get to the 171 total they required to seal the deal.

Ajmal bowled 10 overs and gave away 38 runs. He picked up two wickets as well and one of them was of the mighty Chris Gayle.
