Sports ministers Sarbananda backs India Pakistan series

Lahore: Indian sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal has backed the BCCO for the decision to play a bilateral series against arch rivals Pakistan in Srilanka this month.

Another official rises for the cause; this is big from the sports minister himself. Sarbananda Sonowal talking to a TV channel said that it is important that the government should back BCCI.

He said that we have seen in the past that BCCI has worked for the development and progress of cricket so there is no rationality in opposing its decisions.

He further said that if cricket is promoted by playing against Pakistan than he is ready to back BCCI to go and play against Pakistan. This is a major development in the ongoing process which is still pending with the Indian government.

Pakistan cricket board is all set and ready while the BCCI is waiting for the official approval from the Indian government which has been pending for quite some time now.
