Pakistan’s fast bowler Usman Shinwari faces a major blow, as the in-form pacer has been ruled out of the upcoming series against the West Indies, and has been advised a rest up to 6 months.
Shinwari who made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka this year, has been advised rest for four to six months, after facing an injury blow during the T20I series vs Sri Lanka last month. The pacer is facing a serious stress fracture of the back.
The official word is yet to come out, but the sources have confirmed and Shinwari is all set to miss the on going QeA trophy and the likely West Indies series later this month. On the other hand, PCB is still waiting for a final word from Cricket West Indies on the proposed tour of Pakistan by the West Indies team for a series of three T20Is.
