Khulna: Zimbabwe pace-man Brian Vitori becomes the latest bowler to fall under the radar of the International Cricket Council (ICC), for a suspect bowling action.
Following the 3rd T20 match between hosts Bangladesh and visitors Zimbabwe, the match officials declared the bowling action of Brian Vitori as doubtful, and hence a report was launched to the ICC regarding the issue.
The game was played at Khulna, and Zimbabwe got off the mark in the series with a commanding 31 run win, thanks to a solid target defense from their bowling attack. Though, the concerned party Vitori was expensive, finishing wicket-less and with an economy iof 11.25.
News from the ICC centers suggests that Brian Vitori would get a time space of two weeks to get tests conducted under the supervision of the authorities. It is believed that during this period, the fast bowler can continue to take part in International cricket.
The 25 year old Vitori has played 4 Test matches, 19 One Day Internationals and 11 T20s for his national side, ever since making his debut in 2011.
