Earlier today, the rumors started circulating in the media that Chennai Super Kings, leading franchise of Indian Premier League is not going to retain their key player, Suresh Raina. After the news, surprised fans, the CSK itself had to come forward to deny the rumors.
On Twitter, Chennai Super Kings have denied the claims of Suresh Raina not being retained for the next season of IPL. According to the tweet, fans shouldn’t believe in such rumors and the retention policy is yet to be finalised ahead of the auction next year. With that, CSK also cleared that they are likely retaining Raina.
Along with Raina, former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni is also certain to continue playing for Chennai if the Governing Council of IPL allows the team to retain a few players, but the few other franchises are in favour of an open auction.
