Kamran Akmal, Pakistan’s once regular opener and the wicket keeper has created history in the on-going National T20 Cup. Akmal achieved Pakistan’s highest T20 score ever, when he scored 150 against Islamabad.
With the help of 12 towering sixes and 14 fours, Kamran Akmal scored a 71 ball 150 to make the morning brighter for Lahore Whites at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
With his 150, Kamran achieved several milestones. He became the 3rd batsman in T20 history – after Virender Sehwag and Hamilton Masakadza – to score five 50-plus scores in consecutive innings. He got there by scoring 52, 63, 65, 52 and 150 in successive innings in the National T20 Cup 2017.
Senior batsman also became first Pakistani to score 150 in a T20. Before him, the highest total in T20 Cricket for Pakistan wasn’t even a 130. Kamran also joined the list of very few batsmen to have scored a 150 in T20s.
