Younis to play his last ODI today

Abu Dhabi: Former captain and record holder test batsman Younis Khan has announced his retirement from ODI cricket. Younis will play his last ODI today against England.

It was always on the cards. The decision was round the corner for Younis and he was just waiting for the right time. There were rumors floating around for the past few days about his retirement and today they all became true.

Younis talked to media today few hours ago and said that he has played ODI cricket for the last 15 years and now it is time to pack up for him. Younis also said that he will continue playing test cricket and his aim is to reach 10, 000 runs in the longer format.

PCB and team management were the first to be informed by Younis Khan. Intekhab Alam has also confirmed his decision. Younis has played 264 ODIs since his debut in 2000. He has scored 7240 runs with an average of 31.34.
